We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of the great drummer and percussionist Tony Marsh. He will be sorely missed by his fellow musicians and all those who heard the beauty of his playing. His music will continue to echo within us for many years to come.

This year's Freedom of the City begins with a discussion at Cafe Oto, where we'll ask the seemingly simple question 'what do you think you're doing?' to four of the performers at this year's festival: Caroline Kraabel, Ross Lambert, Okkyung Lee and Steve Noble.
