THE POST QUARTET WITH CHRISTIAN WOLFF
The Post Quartet are Mizuka Yamamoto and Jennifer Allum (violins), Richard Jones (viola) and Rebecca Dixon ('cello). All are based in South East London, UK.
The quartet focuses predominantly on experimental and indeterminate music post-1945, with a particular emphasis on living British composers. Recent concerts have included works by composers such as John Cage, Matteo Fargion, Tom Johnson, John Lely, Tim Parkinson, Michael Parsons, Markus Trunk, and Anton Webern. They have also performed, by requesting new pieces, a complete Right Hand Only String Quartet concert when the viola player damaged his finger.
The Post Quartet is delighted to be joined by Christian Wolff at Freedom of the City this year, and will perform a selection of his Exercises with him.
