Paul Abbott/Frédéric Blondy/Ute Kanngiesser
Cellist Ute Kanngiesser and electrician Paul Abbott have played together much since first meeting in London in 2008. Along with robust musicalities, they bring respective connections with dance and film to a sonic practice rooted in improvisation and very different approaches to physicality. A core member of the Hubbub quintet, Paris-based pianist Frédéric Blondy brings to the piano a similarly physical and uniquely articulate, finessed musical ergonomic.
